Lavender Cottage is situated in sought-after mid-Somerset village of Butleigh, which has local amenities including a post office/store, primary school, church and public house. The historic town of Glastonbury is 3.5 miles whilst the thriving centre of Street is 3 miles and offers a wide range of facilities including both indoor and open air swimming pools, Strode Theatre, Strode College and the shopping outlets in Clarks Village.
There are a number of excellent independent schools within easy reach including Millfield (Senior School in Street and Prep School in Glastonbury) 2 miles, Wells Cathedral 10 miles, Kings of Bruton and the Sherborne schools. In total there are up to 15 independent schools within a 15 mile radius of the village. For the commuter Castle Cary Station (fast link to London Paddington) is 9 miles, M5 (junction 23) 15 miles and the A303 at Podimore 8.5 miles.
From Street/Glastonbury take the Butleigh Road and proceed through the hamlet of Butleigh Wootton. On entering Butleigh, pass Butleigh Court on the left and continue into Sub Road. Shortly after passing Chapel Lane on the left, the property will be identified on the right hand side.
